Heritage in Motion
The Interreg Aurora funded project Heritage in Motion will develope the St. Olav Trail, a historical pilgrimage route that is the northernmost pilgrim trail in the world.
The project aims to establish a certified St. Olav Trail connecting Finland, Sweden, and Norway through a new route between Umeå and Selånger. It strengthens cross-border cooperation and accessibility to the Nordic cultural heritage while promoting sustainable cultural tourism, supporting small businesses, and stimulating regional collaboration.
Social, ecological and economic sustainable development is an overarching goal in the Interreg Aurora Programme. All projects funded by Interreg Aurora contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
